Have you outgrown the space at your home, bach or office?

It’s easy to do. Unfortunately, houses don’t have a habit of growing with their families!

Whether you’ve got family coming to stay, a Uni student returning home, teenagers that need their own private space, need extra room at the bach/crib, parents moving in, or you need a space to work, we get it.

Sometimes there just isn’t space within your four walls to do all of that.

Luckily, there is a great temporary solution available. And that is to rent a cabin with Pencarrow Cabins. Find out how to do that here.

How To Rent A Cabin With Pencarrow Cabins

Why Rent A Cabin?

There are plenty of reasons why you might need more space at your home, bach or office. And here’s why a rental cabin can be a great solution to your space problem!

Affordable

The cost of everything is going up right now. Especially housing related costs like rent and interest rates. So, why not utilise the space you already have on your property? Ditch the idea of paying a landlord, and move friends or family onto your property for a fixed rental price. Costs start at a low $105 per week.

It’s Easy

We make the process of getting more space at your place as easy as possible. That means, we’ll check your access details, the proposed site of the cabin, and answer any questions you might have before signing a contract. Then, when the details are finalised and the upfront costs are  paid, we’ll deliver your cabin directly to your property and situate it for you. When we drive away, it’s ready to move in!

Like A Tiny Home

Because we use only the highest quality build materials and practices, a Pencarrow Cabin is like a tiny home. That means they are warm, dry and comfortable. Fully insulated with opening doors and windows they are warm in winter and cool in summer. They also come powered, painted and carpeted, so you simply need to put your furniture in and they are ready to go!

Income Stream

Got a beautiful view or some spare space in your backyard? Having a rental cabin on your property could open up the opportunity for an additional income stream. You could create a warm and inviting space, then list its availability on Air BnB. Bonus points if you are located in a central hot spot or have amazing views.

Short Or Long Term Solution

Whether you need a cabin short term or long term, we can help you out. Our standard minimum rental period is six months, but we can arrange shorter terms if needed. You can also keep the cabin as long as you need. If you don’t require the space any more, let us know and we’ll arrange collection.

Safety First

Our cabins have durable steel skids (not wheels) and these sit level on timber bearers or foundations... This gives you a lower entry point into the cabin (no big step up required) and has increased stability. That means they are safe and secure for all family members. The delivery team always leave you with a safe and level cabin.

How To Rent A Cabin

The process to rent a cabin is super easy. Here’s what will happen if you rent through Pencarrow Cabins:

Step 1: Contact

The first step is to get in touch with us and let us know what you need. We’ll chat about which size will suit you best, where you are hoping to put the cabin, if you’ll need any local council consent and what your access is like. We’ll also answer any questions you might have.

Step 2: Quoting

Once we have all the info, we’ll send you a quote which will include the weekly rental cost, bond and delivery fee. We also work closely with WINZ and are happy to provide a WINZ quote and any information they require.

Step 3: Finalising Details

Once we’ve finalised the details and you have agreed to the quote, it’s time to pay the bond, delivery fee and first week’s rent invoice. This must be paid in full prior to delivery, so getting onto it quickly means you can have your cabin sooner! At this point also, we’ll issue your hire contract which includes all of our terms and conditions.

Step 4: Delivery Day

On the agreed delivery day, we’ll do all the hard stuff like the transportation and placement of the cabin. But, we do need a few simple things from you:

  • Make sure there is clear access to your location (no cars in the driveway, overhanging trees trimmed etc.)
  • Remove any obstructions from the site where the cabin will be placed
  • Let the team do their job – we cover all the health and safety aspects for you including placement, levelling, installing the deck and connecting the cabin to the power.
  • Alert the team to any concerns before they leave so that we can give advice or remedy anything on the spot.

Step 5: Move In!

This is the most exciting step. It’s the one where you get to move into the cabin or get it ready for your family’s arrival. Then, all that’s left to do is enjoy the space!
